Since January 1st 2005 we have charged for our translations and corrections based on the number of words in the source text, which is the norm in European Union countries. The advantage of this system of charging per source word as opposed to charging per standard page is the absolute clarity of the price of your order. What is more, it is easier to work out the number of source words than the number of standard pages and it means that the resultant price of the order can be calculated in advance.
The biggest advantages of the new method of charging:
The one exception where we have stuck by the existing unit of billing, i.e. verified standard pages, involves sworn translations. The unit of measurement for translations which are only submitted in print is the number of words in the resulting translation.
