| About the project: |
|
Client requested a sample translation, glossary and update to the Style
Guide of their online reservation system. It was particularly useful to
have the glossary approved beforehand, as the airline industry
worldwide uses specific technical terms regarding the nature of their
work. Happy with the results, a new 20 000 word source was immediately
sent to us for translation. |

| About the project: |
We received the client’s first request in the summer of 2006 for a tiny
Latvian proofreading task. The aim of this small order was presumably
to test Skrivanek standards, the level of our project management as
well as the quality of our service. Upon a successful delivery we then
were asked to translate and proofread 5 different documents into more
and more languages, 18 of them by now. REC projects are not only
demanding because of their tight deadlines, the very hectic and last
minute preprint reviews, the many languages and thus linguists involved
but also because our client has practically outsourced the complete
project management to us.
The underlying factors of our success in managing demanding
projects and delivering complex language portfolios such as for REC are
that we can rely on the international background of Skrivanek and the
skills, abilities, experience and professionalism of our project
managers. We also take advantage of TRADOS translation memories and
TRADOS MultiTerm in achieving the highest possible cost effectiveness,
quality and consistent terminology.
Conclusion:
Because we very much respect and appreciate the
importance of environment protection, the cause our client works for,
we always pay extra attention to these projects and want to demonstrate
that Skrivanek operates under very high principles. Employing the
appropriate translators and proofreaders with relevant experience in
the field, the project keeps running without any problem, in excellent
quality and to the great satisfaction of REC Hungary. |
